July 17, 2013 – The Osage County Sheriff’s Office has updated a Silver Alert for a Lyndon man who was still missing Wednesday afternoon. The Silver Alert was issued Monday after Raleigh D. Heskett, 67, of Lyndon, was reported as missing since late Sunday night.

Heskett was later spotted at a gas station in Lebo, in Coffey County, and was reported to be driving a 2002 GMC van, with Kansas license plate 417DCF. The vehicle is described as a brown full-size van with a swirl design on its side.

The update to the alert included a more recent photograph of Heskett, who is known as R.D. The sheriff’s office said Heskett was not wearing glasses as shown in the updated photograph.

The updated alert notes that Heskett is now in need of medication and also medical attention for an arm injury. The initial alert said Heskett had a severe laceration to his right forearm that occurred Sunday evening.

Anyone with information about Heskett is asked to contact the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at 785-828-3121, Crime Stoppers at 877-OS-CRIME, or local law enforcement in their area, or call 911.

Earlier today, Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn said her office had received several reports of possible sightings of Heskett, but he still had not been located.

The updated alert was issued Wednesday afternoon. Dunn said further updates will be posted on the sheriff’s office website.
