Statewide Silver Alert: Missing Gardner woman located safe in Guymon

GUYMON, Okla. – The Gardner Police Department reported that Wilma Patterson was located in Guymon, Okla., and is now safe. Any further inquiries should be directed to the Gardner Police Department. Thank you for your assistance during the statewide silver alert.


JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. – The Gardner Police Department requested that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Gardner woman.

Wilma J. Patterson

The whereabouts of Wilma J. Patterson, 82, are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate her.

Patterson is described as an 82-year-old white female, 5 ft. 3 in. tall, 130 lbs., grey hair and brown eyes.

Patterson has Alzheimer’s and was last seen yesterday, Jan. 28, 2020, at 802 S. Poplar St., Gardner, Kan. Her credit card was last used at approximately 9 a.m. Jan. 29, at a gas station in Meade, Kan. She is driving a Red Kia Forte with Kansas plates, VDH 319.

Authorities believe she may be traveling in Southwest Kansas, or may have made it outside the state to Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico or Texas.

Anyone who sees Patterson or her vehicle, or has information about her whereabouts, is asked to immediately call 911, or contact the Gardner Police Department at 913-782-0720.
