Frank Bailey, Jr., 90, Osage City: Jan. 27, 1930 – Jan. 28, 2020

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Frank Bailey, Jr., 90, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at Brookside Retirement, Overbrook, Kan. He was born on Jan. 27, 1930, in Mays Lick, Ky., the son of Frank and Margaret (Collins) Bailey Sr.

Frank grew up in Kentucky and Ohio, he lived in Topeka, Kan., for several years, and had lived in Osage City, Kan., since 1988. Frank served in the United States Air Force and then worked for the Topeka Fire Department for more than 25 years, retiring at the rank of captain.

On June 27, 1951, Frank was married to Cleta McNinch, in Topeka.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Cleta, on Sept. 24, 2005; his brother, Elmer Bailey; and his parents, Frank and Margaret.

Frank is survived by his son, Steve (Rene) Bailey, of Burlingame, Kan.; daughter, Nancy (Pete) Adams, Topeka; brother, Kenneth Bailey, Bethel, Ohio; and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at the Topeka Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, in Lyndon, Kan.
