Richard William Carlson, 47, Topeka: Feb. 20, 1972 – Feb. 5, 2020

TOPEKA, Kan. – Richard W. Carlson, 47, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at his home in Topeka, Kan. Richard William Carlson was born Feb. 20, 1972, in Emporia, Kan., the son of Richard Joseph and Janet “Susie” (Bolyard) Carlson.

He graduated from Osage City High School, Osage City, Kan., in 1990. He was working as a pest control exterminator in Topeka.

Richard will be forever remembered by his mother, Janet “Susie” Carlson, of Osage City; his daughter, Amanda Carlson, Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Sandy (Gary) Griffith, Osage City, Kim (Kevin) Conner, Osage City, and Sally Carlson, Lawrence, Kan., and seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Joseph Carlson.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Family will receive friends an hour before service.
