Lester L. Arb, 83, Osage City: March 4, 1936 – Feb. 20, 2020

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Lester L. Arb, 83, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at the Topeka Center, Topeka, Kan. He was born March 4, 1936, in Lebo, Kan., the son of Harvey and Nellie Childers Arb.

Lester grew up in Lebo, had lived in Lyndon, Kan., for 47 years and had been in Osage City, Kan., since 2008. Lester was a self employed carpenter, roofer and painter. He was a member of the Euclid Lodge No. 101 A.F.&A.M. and the Osage County Historical Society, both in Lyndon. He had been a member of the Presbyterian Church. He loved his vegetable and flower gardens.

On July 19, 1957, Lester was married to Dora Manning, in Lebo.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara; and his two brothers, Wilbur and Harvey.

Lester is survived by his wife, Dora, of the home; his three children, Diana (Leo) Klumpe, Topeka, Larry (Kathy) Arb, Osage City, and Debbie (Jim) Miller, Hall, Texas; sister, Geneva Phillips, Osawatomie, Kan.; and three granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Lester was cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.
