Earlier this year, the Overbrook City Council passed an ordinance limiting traffic in the 700 block of Oak Street, which is between Overbrook Attendance Center and the playground. Previously, the gates were only closed during school hours. The gates will now be closed all of the time and only opened for authorized vehicles.

In July, the city posted signs noting the closure, and is reminding citizens the gates will be closed beginning Aug. 15, 2020. This will allow familiarity with the traffic change before school resumes.
