Robert G. Langley, 75, Pomona: Jan. 22, 1945 – Sept. 28, 2020

POMONA, Kan. – Robert G. Langley, 75, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kan. He was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Pomona, Kan., the son of Lawrence and Dortha Todd Langley.

Bob graduated from Pomona High School in 1963. He grew up most of his life in Pomona, and had been a camp host at lakes in Texas and Kansas in the last 12 years.

Bob served six years in the United States Army National Guard, from 1966 to 1972.

Bob was a flooring installer for 22 years with Marv’s Furniture and Carpets, in Lyndon, Kan. In 1989 Bob owned and operated Arbor King Manufacturing, where he manufactured tree spades for large trees. Bob was a member of Crosspoint Community Church. He was a ham radio operator since he was 10 years old, and he had his pilot license for small airplanes.

On April 10, 1965, Bob was married to Margie Altom, in Broken Bow, Okla.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dortha; infant daughter, Deborah Langley; four brothers, Jack, Elmerlee, Raymond and infant Dale Dean.

Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie, of the home; son, L. Jeff (Andrea Robinson) Langley, of Worcester, Mass.; daughter Leanna (Rex) Streeter, Overbrook, Kan.; brother, Dwight (Elaine) Langley, Ottawa, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. The family will receive friends 3 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
