Meet a local 4-Her: Kiera McNellis – always wrangling up some projects for the fair

Kiera McNellis has been a 4-H member for eight years and she serves as secretary of the Clover Wranglers 4-H Club. She has undertaken many projects for fair exhibition including photography, constructed clothing, crocheting, ceramics, vegetables, flowers, herbs, wildlife sport fishing, and foods and nutrition.

Favorite 4H activity from the year: participating in shooting sports trap and skeet, and getting to fish a lot for my wildlife sport fishing project.

Her memory of 4-H this year centers on “how much COVID changed everything for 4-H – no Melvern fair, and Osage City and Overbrook fairs were basically come and go so you couldn’t browse or see others’ projects – and state fair was virtual.”
