County under burn ban due to very high fire danger, Oct. 14, 2020

Osage County Emergency Management has issued a burn ban for all of Osage County, Kan., today, Oct. 14, 2020. No outside burning is allowed and all burn permits are suspended until 8 a.m. Oct. 15, 2020.

The ban was issued due to expected very high fire danger today. The rangeland fire danger index will be in the very high category this afternoon.

The National Weather Service forecasts today to be sunny with a high near 86, and breezy with a south wind 15-20 mph and gusts up to 40 mph.
