Albert L. Park Jr., 90, Osage City: Jan. 21, 1930 – Dec. 4, 2020

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Albert L. Park Jr., 90, of Osage City, Kan., passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook, Kan. Albert Lawrence Park Jr. was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Marysville, Kan., the son of Albert Lawrence and Xaina (Tuttle) Park Sr.

He graduated from Marysville High School in 1948 and graduated from University of Kansas in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.

Al was joined in marriage to Lois Elizabeth Edwards on June 12, 1956, in Lawrence, Kan. To this union, two children were born, Susan and Sarah.

He owned and operated Park Pharmacy for 31 years.

Al was an active member of the United Methodist Church and Kiwanis, both in Osage City. He was a U.S. Army veteran discharged at the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Lois, of the home; two daughters, Susan (Larry) Patton, of Lawrence, and Sarah (Bill) Granger, Overbrook; two grandchildren, John (Sara Stites) Granger and Rosalie Granger, both of Topeka, Kan.; and two great-grandsons, Ira and Ezra Granger.

Al was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Don.

A private graveside service will be at Osage City Cemetery. A memorial service will be at later date.
