Sheriff seeks information about late night/early morning vehicle burglaries, auto theft

OSAGE COUNTY, Kan. – The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in a series of vehicle burglaries and theft late Monday evening or early Tuesday morning in Carbondale, Scranton and Burlingame.

The sheriff’s office criminal investigations unit and the Burlingame Police Department are investigating the following incidents reported Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020:

  • Around 5:09 a.m., the sheriff’s office communications center received a report of a vehicle burglary in the 200 block of South Fourth Street, in Carbondale.
  • Approximately 5:39 a.m., report of a vehicle theft from a residence in the 300 block of South Nicholas Street, in Scranton. Vehicle is described as a 2009 charcoal gray Toyota Corolla with a black front bumper.
  • At approximately 6:28 a.m., report of a vehicle burglary in the 100 block of West Lincoln Street, in Burlingame.

All of these crimes are believed to have been committed between 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22.
