Elaine Jackson, 92, Osage City: March 12, 1928 – Feb. 1, 2021

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Elaine G. Jackson, 92, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, at Vintage Park, Osage City, Kan. Elaine G. Hallowell was born March 12, 1928, in Burlingame, Kan., the daughter of Fred and Lizzie (Satterman) Hallowell.

She graduated from Osage City High School in 1946. She was joined in marriage to Fred A. “Fritz” Jackson on May 4, 1946, in Lawrence, Kan. To this union four children were born, Robert, Richard, Janice and James.

Elaine had many jobs in her life including being a school cook for many years. Her main job was taking care of her family. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Evangelical Church, Osage City.

Elaine will be forever remembered by her children, Robert E. Jackson (friend Jan Ogleby), of Osage City, Richard Jackson, Lyndon, Kan., Janice (Larry) Fager, Reading, Kan., and James (Deanna) Jackson, Osage City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Arlie Hallowell; and half-sister, Helen Winans.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Grace Lutheran Evangelical Church, Osage City. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday evening at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel with family receiving friends 6-7 p.m.
