Reserve a seat for fun bus trips to Olathe and Maple Hill

Submitted by Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

The two general public transportation rider appreciation trips in August are filling up fast.  The Olathe trip to Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Bass Pro Shops on Aug. 22 will be a wonderful trip. History buffs and outdoorsy types should love it. And, for those who have been there and those folks who have seen the television commercials, our first trip ever to Maple Hill and Puffy’s Steakhouse will be the evening of Aug. 29. For more information, or to reserve a seat on the bus for either trip, contact Osage County Senior Center at 785-528-4906.

Thanks go out to all the folks who attended, those who baked or made ice cream, and those who volunteered at the nutrition site’s ice cream social the evening of Aug. 1. This fundraiser draws a variety of citizens into the senior center – people we would love to see more often for the lunches served and the numerous activities that occur.
