Water recedes, K-99 now open to traffic

As of 7 a.m. today, state Highway 99 in Lyon County is open to all traffic from the south city limits of Emporia to three miles south.

The highway was closed at 7:30 a.m. Saturday due to flood waters over the roadway. Flood waters have now receded off the highway and it has been reopened to traffic.
