Larry Dean Lesperance, 58, Burlingame: June 9, 1962 – April 22, 2021

BURLINGAME, Kan. – Larry Dean Lesperance, 58, of Burlingame, Kan., passed away April 22, 2021, at his home. He was born June 9, 1962, in Concordia, Kan., the son of Darrell Roger Lesperance and Catherine Ann (Carroll) Thompson.

He grew up and attended schools in Concordia, graduating from Concordia High School in 1980. After high school, Larry worked for the Eldorado Motor Company, McPherson, Kan. He began a life-long career in construction engineering at Mid-Continent Engineers, Salina, Kan., and later for PEC Engineering, Topeka, Kan. He currently worked for Benesch Engineering, Topeka, as a certified inspector for road construction.

Larry’s hobbies include operating radio controlled cars, flying radio controlled helicopters and drones. He had a love of music and was a self-taught guitarist. Larry was an avid NASCAR Fan. He loved celebrating the 4th of July and will be remembered for his neighborhood firework displays.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving family includes a brother, Mark Lesperance and wife, Dawn, of Lewiston, Idaho; and a niece and a nephew.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
