Derald Stromgren, of Osage City, Kan., will celebrate his 80th birthday Sept. 13, 2021.

Derald was born Sep. 13, 1941, in Osage City, the eldest child of Fred and Frances Stromgren.

He grew up in the Osage City area and graduated from Osage City High School. He worked for Osage Products (Hallmark) as a napkin printing supervisor. After his retirement, he opened Stromgren Greenhouse with his wife, Mary Lou. Derald continues to enjoy gardening, and he is involved with the Osage City Meals on Wheels and the Osage City Kiwanis paper pickup.
