Summer’s almost over and Osage City Parks and Recreation is setting up for fall activities. Signup is currently underway for Youth Volleyball Camp and OCHS Cheer Camp. Check details below.
OCHS Cheer Camp
Pre-K/K – 1st/2nd grade – 3rd-5th grade students
OCPR is partnering with OCHS Cheer Team Sponsor Jaime McCoy and the Cheer Team to offer this camp.
- Practice Dates – Sept. 21 and 23 (6:30-7:30pm, OCHS gym).
- Camp Fee, $20 per student.
- Performance date – Sept. 24 (HS FB Field).
- 1st quarter – Pre-K and Kindergarten.
- 2nd quarter – 1st and 2nd grade.
- 3rd quarter – 3rd-5th grade.
- Cheerleaders will learn three chants, one cheer, school song cheer.
- Each cheerleader receives a shirt.
- Recommended practice clothes – shorts, sneakers, socks, T-shirt
Signup deadline, Sept. 13.
Extra precautions
- Students taught in mini groups with social distancing.
- Students bring an individual water bottle.
- Hands sanitized before and after practice.
- Student masks are allowed (parent’s choice).

Youth Volleyball Camp
Open to ALL area 3rd-6th grade students.
Players will learn the fundamentals of volleyball.
- Camp format – One hour skill camp, 30 minutes team court time.
- Camp location – OCHS gym.
- Camp Dates – Oct. 6, 13, 20, 28 (all 6-7:30pm)
- Each camper receives a shirt.
- Cost – $20 per player.
