Janelle Lynn Arb, 57, Eudora: Oct. 11, 1963 – Sept. 25, 2021

EUDORA, Kan. – Janelle Lynn Arb, 57, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. She was born Oct. 11, 1963, in Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Howard and JoAnn (Fanning) Arb.

Janelle grew up in Melvern, Kan., and had lived in Eudora, Kan., for the last 30 years. She graduated from Marias des Cygnes Valley High School in 1982, where she had been a junior high and high school cheerleader, and was very active in 4-H, showing cattle and cooking. She graduated from Emporia State University in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She was a cheerleader for ESU, was a member of the Tri Sigma Sorority, and sang with the Prairie Fire Band of Emporia for 10 years. Janelle taught preschool special education at Eudora and Baldwin City, Kan., schools for more than 30 years. She was the cheerleading sponsor for junior high and high school at Eudora for several years.

Janelle was preceded in death by her dad, Howard Arb, Sept. 12, 2020; and her sister, Tammy Foster, Dec. 22, 2018.

Left to mourn her passing are her mother, JoAnn Arb; two sisters, Debra Arb and Christy Arb; brother, Keith Arb and wife, Denise; niece, Kyelie Arb; and many aunts, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Melvern Cemetery, Melvern.
