Ann Woodbury Lusk, 93, Osage City: April 13, 1928 – Dec. 14, 2021

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Ann Woodbury Lusk, 93, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, at her home in Osage City, Kan. She was born April 13, 1928, the daughter of Howard K. and Rachel Ann (Evans) Woodbury.

Ann attended the schools in the Olivet, Kan., area and graduated from Lyndon High School, Lyndon, Kan. Ann attended college, first at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., where she was a member of Alpha Phi. She continued her education at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., where she earned her bachelor’s degree.

Ann was united in marriage to Harold R. Lusk, on Feb. 11, 1951, on the Woodbury family farm, at Olivet. After 60 years together, Harold preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2013.

After starting her career in education, Ann became actively involved in the rental business in Osage City. She was a member of the Osage City Library Board, Sorosis Club, and was a member of the Osage City First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Kansas Livestock Association.

Ann is survived by her two children, James Lusk (Nancy), Overland Park, Kan., and Luree Lusk (Terry), Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren, David Anderson-Lusk (Joanna), Ft. Campbell, Ky., Thomas Lusk (Ali), Phoenix, Ariz., Rachel Ann Lusk, Osage City, and Nathan Lusk (Lauren), Olympia, Wash.; and two great-grandchildren, Zelda Ann and Leo Lusk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Lusk; both parents; and brother, Fred Woodbury.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2021, at the Osage City First Presbyterian Church. A luncheon will follow, and all are welcome to attend. Masks are encouraged.
