BURLINGAME, Kan. – Teresa Ann Johnson, 55, of Burlingame, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, Topeka, Kan. She was born March 5, 1966, in Holton, Kan., the daughter of Leon Ozenbaugh and Dixie (Anno) Ozenbaugh.
She grew up in the northern Osage County area, and graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1984. She then graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
Teresa was an insurance adjuster for Safeco for many years. She also loved to substitute teach, especially for younger students in the many Osage County school districts. She was an extremely caring woman, who loved shopping, candy, Lifetime movies and Grey’s Anatomy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Dixie Ozenbaugh; a brother, Ronald Grisham; and a sister, Glenda Lester.
She is survived by a daughter, Danielle Johnson, of Auburn, Kan.; four sisters, LaDonna Lee, Burlingame, Debbie Ewing, Hermitage, Mo., Janet Ozenbaugh, Raytown, Mo., and Cindy Ozenbaugh, Topeka; her significant other, Jon Masters; and a Chihuahua dog, Shadow.
To celebrate Teresa’s life, funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Twin Lakes Christian Fellowship, 6905 W. US Highway 56, Osage City, Kan. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery, Berryton, Kan. A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 503 Topeka Ave., Burlingame.
