CARBONDALE, Kan. – Rebecca “Becky” S. (Sheddan) Pilgrim, 75, of Carbondale, Kan., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 14, 2022. Becky was the daughter of Marion and Marjorie (Reagan) Sheddan. She was born Sept. 3, 1946, in Monroe, La.
Becky graduated from Carbondale High School in 1964.
While attending college she met and married Roy H. Rogers. They moved to Texas and were blessed with two children. She married Paul Pilgrim in 1983. He was the love of her life and introduced her to training horses. He preceded her in death, but the love of horses he passed on to her became not only her passion but her livelihood in later years. She was a member of Grace Chapel, Carbondale.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marion Sheddan; and her longtime companion, Thomas Holder.
She is survived by a son, Brandon (Paula) Rogers, of Burnet, Texas; a daughter, Toni (Rev. Kenneth) Haggstrom, Florence, Texas; a brother, Charles (Terri) Sheddan, Geneseo, Ill.; a sister, Margaret Gunnells, Carbondale, Kan.; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Grace Chapel, 419 S. Third St., Carbondale. Interment will be at Carbondale Cemetery.
