Lyndon Library schedules weeks of fun for summer reading program

Lyndon Carnegie Library is planning a fun summer reading program that will run from June 6 – July 14, 2022. This year’s program will include activities and events for readers of all ages, from young children to adults.

Participants can sign up at the library or at the library’s website. The planned schedule is full in the mornings every day, and includes something for all ages.

The tentative weekly schedule is as follows:

  • Mondays – Pre-kindergarten, 10-10:45 a.m.; kindergarten to first grades, 11-11:45 a.m.
  • Tuesdays – 5-7th grades, 10:45 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Wednesdays – All ages and family program, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Thursdays – 2nd-4th grades, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Adults programs are scheduled as follows:

  • June 16, 2:30 p.m., Keys to Embracing Aging 101 presented by Frontier District Extension.
  • June 20, 6 p.m., “Intro into Genealogy” presented by Osage County Historical Society.
  • June 23, 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., chalk painting (must sign up).
  • June 30, 6-8 p.m., 4th of July crafts.
  • July 21, 2:30-3:30 p.m., Alzheimer’s 101; presented by Frontier District Extension.
