Connie Sue Beatty, 65, Lyndon: May 23, 1957 – July 14, 2022

LYNDON, Kan. – Connie Sue Beatty, 65, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her home in Lyndon, Kan. She was born May 23, 1957, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Gordon and Mary (Bucklew) James.

Connie grew up in Ottawa, where she graduated from Ottawa High School in 1975.

On July 6, 1979, Connie was united in marriage to David Beatty, in Ottawa. In September 2009, their son Timothy fulfilled her greatest achievement of becoming a mother.

Connie’s most fulfilling work was when she worked beside Dave, assisting him with equine breeding, training and showing. Connie and Dave worked on horse ranches across the country before returning home to Lyndon.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Mary; and her brother, Don James.

Connie is survived by her husband of 43 years, David; son, Timothy, of the home; sister, Terry Ramshaw, of Georgia; niece, Toni Ramshaw-Momany and husband, Mark; and two great-nephews, Christian and Matthew.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial will be in the Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
