Quenemo will be celebrating the town’s riverbank heritage with the Marais des Cygnes River Valley Festival, scheduled for 2-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022. The day full of fun and entertainment features historical reenactors, live music, vendors, parade, dancers, and touch-a-truck. Quenemo historical items will be on display at the community center, presented by curator Mike Ragan. A Quenemo alumni gathering and open house is scheduled 2-5 p.m.. Everyone is invited to come to Quenemo Saturday and enjoy the day. Here is the schedule:

Quenemo City Park and Community Center
- 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Vendor and food truck set up.
- 1 p.m. Fourth Street in front of community center closes.
- 1:30 p.m. Parade line up begins on Fourth Street.
- 2 p.m. Parade starts.
- 2-5 p.m. Quenemo alumni gathering open house in community center.
- 2 p.m. Quenemo historic items and curator Mike Ragan in community center.
- 2 p.m. Vendors open.
- 2 p.m. Reenactors.
- 2:15 p.m. Osage County Fire District No. 7 – Quenemo – touch-a-truck.
- 2:45-3:15 p.m. Spirit Dancer demonstration on basketball court.
- 3:30-4:30 p.m. Dan Rukes Band on basketball court.
- 5-7 p.m. Wakarusa River Band at gazebo.
- 8-10 p.m. Buck Creek Band at gazebo.
