WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Betty Lou (Phillippe) Knapp, 93, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, in Warrensburg, Mo. She was born March 15, 1929, to Gerald and Edith (Weaver) Phillippe, in Mayes County, Oklahoma.

She lived in Kansas most of her life, attending public schools in Wichita, Kan. She graduated from East High School in 1947.

She married Eddie R. Knapp, August 21, 1948. They were married 58 years until his passing July 9, 2006.

Betty retired from General Motors Corp. July 1, 1987.

Betty is survived by daughters, Ronna Gjesfjeld, and husband, John, and Debra Larsen, and husband, Rod; brother-in-law, Albert Andrew; sister-in-law, Betty Phillippe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Knapp; her parents; and daughter, Cathy Peck. She was the last surviving of seven siblings, Bonnie, Ron, Jim, Geraldine, Eva, and Coralie.

Private family graveside service will be at Vassar Cemetery.
