OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Joseph Patrick Tremblay Jr., 86, of Osage City, Kan., died Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook, Kan. He was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Providence, R.I., the son of Joseph Patrick Tremblay Sr. and Margaret (Keegan) Tremblay.
In 1956, Joseph was united in marriage to Helen Veins, in Rhode Island. They shared 48 years of loving marriage before Helen’s passing in 2004.
He spent much of his life in Rhode Island until he moved to Osage City, where he spent his remaining 24 years. He worked in the jewelry business and for a moving company.
Joseph was a free and happy man whom everyone knew, and he loved feeling like the “king of the world” because of it. He loved to ride his bicycle and go fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Tremblay; his wife, Helen Tremblay; a son, John Tremblay; a daughter, Cheryl Deflippio; a brother, Gene Tremblay; and two sisters, Gladys Haney and Anna Tremblay.
He is survived by a son, Harold Tremblay, of Osage City; a daughter, Helen Lawson, Plainfield, Conn.; and eight grandchildren.
