Recent sheriff’s reports:

At 2:11 p.m. March 28, 2023, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at Second and Market streets, Osage City, Kan., for a traffic violation. During the stop, a K-9 was deployed, and illegal narcotics were located. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of listed charges: Kevin D. Spunaugle, 57, Olivet, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia; and Linda S. Spunaugle, 52, Olivet, possession of methamphetamine.

On the evening of March 28, 2023, investigators and deputies with the Osage County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotic search warrant in the 700 block of Market Street in Osage City. Tanny L. Kendall, 63, of Osage City, was arrested on in connection with charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Osage City Police Department.

At 6:01 a.m. March 30, 2023, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at milepost 143 on US Highway 75 for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. The driver of the vehicle, Brittany N. Harbert, 33, Topeka, was arrested on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, trafficking contraband into a correctional facility, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
