Recent sheriff’s reports:

At 2:47 p.m. May 2, 2023, an Osage County Sheriff’s investigator conducted a traffic stop at SE Blake and SE Walnut streets in Melvern, Kan., for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. The driver of the vehicle, Christopher L. Winters, 55, of Melvern, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a driver’s license, and a Burlington, Kan., warrant.
