Kneisler earns state FFA Proficiency Award in agricultural services

Ethan Kneisler was named as a Proficiency Award winner in the agricultural services category, during the second session of the 95th annual Kansas FFA Convention, held May 31-June 1, 2023, at  Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kan.

Kneisler, a Lyndon FFA member, will now go on to represent Kansas at the National FFA Convention, to be held Nov. 1-4, 2023, at Indianapolis, Ind. Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through supervised agricultural experiences, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Four national finalists are selected in each proficiency award areas to compete for a national proficiency award. Proficiency award winners are announced during the National FFA Convention.

At the Kansas convention, Ethan also was awarded third place for an essay contest.

Ethan’s sister and fellow Lyndon FFA member Allie Kneisler experienced her first state convention this year. Allie served as a delegate to vote for new state officers.

Lyndon High School’s FFA advisor is Tim Kilgore.
