Phillip Michael Clark, 81, Overbrook: Aug. 30, 1942 – Oct. 26, 2023

OVERBROOK, Kan. – Phillip Michael Clark, 81, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook, Kan. He was born on Aug. 30, 1942, in Lakeland, Fla., the son of Worth and Gladys (Ryles) Clark.

Phillip grew up in Lakeland, and lived at St. Charles, Mo., and Lyndon and Scranton, Kan.

Phillip had served in the United States Air Force. He had worked most of his life as a meat cutter in grocery stores, and also worked as a cook.

On Feb. 14, 1966, Phillip was united in marriage to Lavern Crawford, in Valdosta, Ga.

Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Lavern, on May 21, 2020; and his parents, Worth and Gladys.

Phillip is survived by his four children, Deronda Cain, of Tebbetts, Mo., Verita Stumpe, St. Peters, Mo., Saxby Mickler, Scranton, and Sheila Pate, of Florida;  brother, Carl Clark, Palmer, Alaska; five sisters, Karen Squires, Overland, Mo., Kathy Bowles, Lonedell Lakes, Mo., Connie Sharrett, Lakeland, Donna Telesco, Lakeland, and Glynis Marvin, of Georgia; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel, in Lyndon. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. until service time.
