Letha Elizabeth Haslett, 98, Overbrook: May 21, 1926 – June 18, 2024

OVERBROOK, Kan. – Letha Elizabeth Haslett, 98, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook, Kan. She was born May 21, 1926, in Hoyt, Kan., the daughter of James and Ruth (Littleton) Hunt.

Letha grew up in Hoyt, and had lived many years in the Overbrook community. Letha was a homemaker, and had cooked at Brookside Retirement for a number of years. She was a member of the Grace Community Church, Overbrook.

Letha was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth; and brother, John Hunt, who lived at Salina, Kan.

She is survived by her son, Clarence Edward Haslett Jr., of Warsaw, Mo.; sister, Anna Marie Chalmers, Topeka, Kan.; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Letha will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Grace Community Church, 310 E. Eighth St., Overbrook. Inurnment will be in the Valley Brook Cemetery at a later date.
