Osage County Fair heats up summer with carnival, parade, and fireworks

Osage County Fair opens with Community Events Week

It’s fair time in Osage County as the Osage County Fair celebrates its 80th year. Osage City comes alive with fair fun this evening, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with community events and a carnival at Jones Park through Saturday. The exhibition portion of the fair begins Saturday with the 4-H horse show at Burns/Sky View Horse Farm, and continues next week.

Community events get underway at 6 p.m. today with the ribbon cutting opening the fair, followed by the baby races at the main stage at the Osage City fairgrounds. Carnival rides will start twirling and light up the fairway; carnival tickets are available on site. Wednesday through Saturday, booths and vendors will be in the Osage City Parks and Recreation Building, beginning at 10 a.m. each day. In addition, the Lions Club’s tradtional food stand will be open daily Thursday through Saturday.

Friday evening will feature the annual Osage City Chamber of Commerce fair parade at 6:30 p.m. – this year’s theme is “Back in the day.” Prize money is offered for winning floats, decorated golf carts, ATVs, decorated horse and cart, and decorated horse and rider.
