With Kansas’ summer heating up, the Osage City Aquatic Center offers an easy way to cool down. The pool is open daily for swimmers of all ages, and water aerobics and swimming lessons are still ongoing. Osage City Parks and Recreation is also making plans for youth football camp, youth soccer and youth volleyball, with deadlines approaching.

Youth Football Camp
K-6th Grade. Grade is based on the 2026-2027 school year.
- August 4-5-6
- 7-8pm, K, 1st & 2nd grade
- 7-8:30pm (3rd-6th Tackle Players)
- $20 per player

OCPR 3rd/4th Grade Tackle Football
Players must be USD 420 3rd/4th grade students based on the 2026-2027 school year.
- The team will play in a created league with Mission Valley, Rossville, Jackson Heights and Royal Valley
- League games are Saturdays, plus possible Wednesday night games, either home or away.
- League season – September 12 – October 24
- Weekly practices dates and time determined by the head coach.
- OCPR provides: helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, pants (integrated, all 7 pads sewn in), team jersey and mouthpiece (players can choose to use their own mouthpiece).
- Each player provides their own football cleats, any additional padding or accessories.
Player fee – $50 per player – check payable to “OCPR”. Payment can be split into two separate payments, Payment #1 ($25) due by August 10, Payment #2 ($25) due by September 4.
- Signup forms and payment can be delivered to Osage City Hall or to the OCPR Office (Corey)
- Team equipment & jersey fitting – August 6, 5:30pm, OCPR Building

Players must be USD 420 5th/6th grade students based on the 2026-2027 school year.

Grade Groups – PK/K, 1-2 grade, 3-4 grade, 5-6 grade, all COED
- A player’s grade is their grade in the 2026-2027 school year.
- OCPR teams participate with Overbrook and Lyndon.
- Games are rotated between Overbrook, Lyndon, and Osage City.
- Season – September 12-October 24 (1st-6th grades) and September 12-October 17 (PK/K)
- October 24 is the End of Season Tournament (single elimination).
Cost – $35 per player
- OCPR players receive a team jersey, shorts, and socks.
- Players supply their own shin guard and cleated shoes.
- Team practice can start the week of August 24, if a coach is assigned.

Youth Volleyball League
Grade Groups – 1-2 grade, 3-4 grade, 5-6 grade
- A player’s grade is their grade in the 2026-2027 school year
- Overbrook Recreation is coordinating a league for teams from Osage County and Franklin County
- Games – Wednesday and Saturday at SFT HS Gyms
- Season – September 9-Ocotber 14
- Game Play, 6 v 6
- Rally Score – Best 2 out of 3 (25pts, 25pts, and 15pts)
- 1-2 Grade – Players serve from the “Attack Line”
- 3-4 Grade – Players serve at the midpoint between the “Attack Line” and “End Line”
- 5-6 Grade – Players serve from the regulation “End Line”
- Teams provide one line judge for each game
- Net Height set at MS NFHS Height
Cost – $30 per player
