Sheriff’s reports:

At 3:28 p.m. Aug. 24, 2026, an Osage County Sheriff’s investigator conducted a traffic stop at state Highway 31 and South California Road, near Melvern, for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. Louie R. Romi III, 59, Melvern, was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and driving while license suspended.

At 3:34 p.m. Aug. 25, 2026, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at state Highway 31 and South Wanamaker Road for a traffic violation. During the stop, a K-9 was deployed and illegal narcotics were located. Travis W. Hill, 66, Burlingame, arrested on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, vehicle liability insurance required, and operate a vehicle without registration.
