Next rider appreciation trips planned around Christmas shopping and decorations

Submitted by Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

Around the middle of this month we will be putting out signup lists for the next two rider appreciation trips. On Dec. 11 we will make our annual Christmas shopping jaunt to the Oak Park Mall, in Overland Park. And the evening of Dec. 12, we are making a trip to Council Grove for supper at Hays House and a ride around town to see Christmas decorations. More details will be made available in next week’s Osage County Senior Center news.

The once a month foot care clinic put on by Home Town Health Care at the center is always on the third Friday of the month, and reservations must be made through them at 620-342-2600.  The slots fill up fast, so please call as soon as you can. The next foot care clinic at the center is Nov. 15.

And, don’t forget, the senior center is closed for all activities except meal service at noon on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The center and all of its operations are closed Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
