Senior center invites more participants for sewing, ceramics, exercise, bus trips, and lunch

Submitted by Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

The number of patrons involved in various activities at the senior center has dwindled the last year or so, especially in the sewing, ceramics, and armchair exercise activities, and bus riders on some of our shopping trips. The number of folks eating lunch at the nutrition site and those playing cards on Monday nights have also been on the decrease. Yet we do fairly well with the number of people involved with the arts, and those playing bingo, cribbage, and Mexican Train games.

Activities and the general public transit service are very important to the livelihood of this facility. If you are already involved in these activities or services, please spread the word that we are always looking for more citizens to take part. If you are considering stopping by the center to see what we do, please do. Our newsletter has all the activities, the bus schedule, and our nutrition site menu. The center is located at 604 Market St., Osage City, and can be reached at 785-528-4906 for more information.
