Girl Scouts plan winter camp

Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland are inviting second to 12th-grade girls and their parents to join others from the area for a winter camp to be held Jan. 4-5 at Camp Wood at Elmdale.

The family fun weekend hosted by the Girl Scouts includes low ropes, hiking, campfire, s’mores, and fun for parents and girls.

The overnight camp will provide sleeping quarters in heated cabins in Jones Village; meals include dinner and breakfast.

The deadline for registration is Dec. 23, with a fee of $50 per girl and $40 per parent.

Camp Wood is located at 1101 Camp Wood Road, Elmdale, Kan.
