Milton Carl Scheer, 83, Lyndon: Feb. 10, 1930 – Dec. 23, 2013

LYNDON – Milton Carl Scheer, 83, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at his home in Lyndon. He was born on Feb. 10, 1930, in Maud, Okla., the son of David and Hazel Noe Scheer.

Milton had lived in McFarland before moving to Lyndon where he has lived for the past 36 years.

Milton graduated from Topeka High School in 1948 and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1950. He had worked as a painter most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene Scheer.

Milton is survived by his son, Carl Scheer, of Osage City; his two daughters, Christina Scheer and Annetta Parker, both of Lyndon; his two brothers, David Scheer, Topeka, and George Scheer, Vacaville, Calif.; his sister, Opal Gragg, Mission, Texas; nine grandchildren and one stepgrandchild.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Lyndon Bible Fellowship Church.  Inurnment will be at a later date.

Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon, is assisting the family.
