Cure cabin fever: Take a tour to eat; call before boarding

On Wednesday, Jan. 29, weather allowing, the general public transportation bus will head for McFarland’s Restaurant, in Topeka, for our annual Cabin-Fever Relief Lunch Run. This trip is designed to simply get you out of the house for a while. The bus will leave the senior center at around 10:45 a.m. and stops can be made along the way for the convenience of some of our patrons who live outside of Osage City. Call 785-528-4906 or stop by the Osage County Senior Center, 604 N. Market St., Osage City, to reserve a seat on the bus.

  • Thursday, Jan. 9 – Biscuits and gravy extravaganza 9 a.m.; art and painting class 9 a.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 10 – Bingo 10 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Monday, Jan. 13 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.; play pitch and eat 5:15 p.m., cards begin at 5:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 14 – Ceramics 9 a.m.; Mexican Train games 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 15 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 10:30 a.m.; birthday lunch 12 noon; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 16 – Art and painting class 9 a.m.; community blood drive.
