The Basehor-Linwood school board is expected to approve the appointment of Rod Stallbaumer as the new Basehor-Linwood High School football coach at its monthly board meeting on Monday. Stallbaumer will take over for former coach Steve Hopkins, who resigned in November after 10 seasons with the Bobcats.

Stallbaumer compiled a 52-23 record in the past seven seasons at Class 2-1A Lyndon High School. During that stretch, he led the Tigers to six playoff appearances and four district championships – three in the last three years. LHS went 11-1 this past season with its only loss coming to eventual Class 2-1A state champion Centralia in the sub-state round of the playoffs.
