Park visitors enjoy rainy free entrance day

B.D. Ehler, Vassar, shows a Pomona State Park visitor the intricate thread art and cross wrap patterns on his handcrafted fishing rods. Ehler displayed his unique fishing rods in Southwind Shelter House during Saturday’s open house and free state park entrance day.

Despite more than an inch of rain over much of Osage County Saturday, activities went on, including the annual egg hunt with about 60 kids participating, a KDWPT watercraft simulator, RV show, and tours of cabins and campgrounds.
