Anne Elizabeth VanBlaricon, 70, Carbondale; Dec. 21, 1943 – Jan. 13, 2014

011614-obit-vanblariconCARBONDALE – Anne Elizabeth VanBlaricon passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday Jan. 13, 2014, at her home. She was born Dec. 21, 1943, in Holton, Kan., to parents William Patrick Cummings and Mirva Elvinia (Morris) Cummings.

Anne graduated from Salina Catholic High School.

She enjoyed gardening and homemaking. She retired from Frito Lay after working there for 30 years.

She married her sweetheart Ronald VanBlaricon in Salina, Kan., on Dec. 29, 1962. He survives at the home, as well as their three children Jack Hugh (Tara) VanBlaricon, Carbondale, Kan., John Hugh (Marta) VanBlaricon, Topeka, Kan., and Debera (Alex) Zerbe Vassar, Kan.

Anne had nine brothers and two sisters, David, Patrick, Lawrence, Joe, Mike, Barbara, William, Kenny, Marilyn, Paul and Steve. David, Joe and Kenny Cummings preceded her in death.

Grandchildren include Angelyn Donley, Trevor Donley, Sarah Donley, Kerstin Fennell, Joshua VanBlaricon, Kevin VanBlaricon, Austin VanBlaricon, Killian Spoonemore, Kemper Spoonemore, Pyper VanBlaricon, Kasey Helms, Ally Zerbe, and Christine Brown. Pumpkin was her pet weenie dog.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. January 18, at the Carbondale Church of Christian Fellowship, 430 Commercial St., Carbondale.
