Glenn Dale Croucher, 82, Osage City: Aug. 4, 1931 – Feb. 1, 2014

OSAGE CITY – Glenn Dale Croucher, 82, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kan. He was born on Aug. 4, 1931, in Peterton, Kan., the son of Fred and Mable Plackett Croucher.

Glenn had lived all of his life in the Osage City community. He graduated from Osage City High School in 1949. He was a truck driver and then worked for the Martin Marietta Corp. as a heavy construction superintendent for many years. He eventually retired from KanBuild Homes, and had farmed for many years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Osage City.

On Feb. 27, 1949, Glenn was married to Dolores Didier, in Lyndon, Kan.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Dolores, of the home; his four children, Richard Croucher and Marty, Topeka, David Croucher and Cheri, Michigan Valley, Gregg Croucher and Cheryl, Osage City, and Alisa Hart and Britton, Emporia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother, Melvin Croucher, Osage City.

A Celebration of Glenn’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance or Midland Hospice and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
