Americus man dies in vehicle rollover

An Americus man died in a one-car rollover accident Thursday afternoon south of Americus.

According the Kansas Highway Patrol, Benjamin Bish, 35, of Americus, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer southbound near the intersection of county roads H5 and 230, when he lost control. The vehicle rolled and came to rest in the roadway. Bish died at the scene.

The accident happened about 1:40 p.m. Feb. 20, approximately 1.5 miles east and 1 mile south of Americus. The KHP reported that Bish was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
