Amber Alert: Cancelled

AmberAlertsubjectUPDATE: Feb. 26, 9:28 a.m. Amber Alert cancelled. Recent information indicates that the victim and suspect are not in Kansas. 

10:04 p.m. Feb. 25 – A Kansas Amber Alert has been issued for Nomei Velazquez, 15, described as a white female, with black hair and brown eyes, 4 feet 11 inches, 120 pounds. Her cellphone was last pinged on U.S. 35 east bound near Kansas City, Kan. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes, carrying brown purse and wearing glasses. Her nickname is Mimi.

A possible suspect has been identified as Juan Fabian Arenas Delacruz, described as 5 feet 11 inches, 170 pounds, with some facial hair.

AmberAlertsuspectThe suspect and victim are possibly in a silver 2004 Volkswagon Passat with Texas license tag DF7T507, possibly traveling north along the I-35 corridor in the Kansas City metro area. Information indicates they may currently be in the area.
