OCPR announces summer job openings

Osage City Parks and Recreation will be presenting a youth play, Disney’s Peter Pan Jr., on April 12. Also several summer job openings are available.

Youth Play – “Disney’s – Peter Pan Jr.”

Peter Pan comes to visit Wendy, Michael, and John Darling and whisks them away to Neverland. Their adventure introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians, and even the infamous Captain Hook!

  • Performance – 7 p.m. April 12, OCHS Auditorium.
  • 4 years old – kindergarten
  • $25 per performer
  • Rehearsal dates, 3:30-4:15 p.m., March 12, 26, April 2, OCHS Room 309.
  • Entire cast rehearsals, April 7, 8, 9, 10, 3:30-5 p.m., OCHS Auditorium.
  • Signup deadline March 3.

OCPR Summer Job Opening – OCAC Assistant Pool Manager

OCPR is taking applications for Osage City Aquatic Center Assistant Pool Manager.

  • The applicant needs to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Lifeguard Certificate and WSI (Water Safety Instructor) required.
  • This is an hourly position, with no more than 40 hours per week.
  • Job hours could be throughout the day, Monday-Sunday, based on need, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The seasonal position will be from May to September.
  • The OCAC Assistant Pool Manager will work with the OCAC Pool Manager, helping to evaluate lifeguards, day to day chores, supervising the pool and staff, spot check the pump house area, provide good customer service, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Applications are available at Osage City Hall, or can be sent out by request.
  • Application deadline is April 4.

OCPR Summer Job Opening – Sub Lifeguard

OCPR is taking applications for up to 5 OCAC Sub Lifeguards.

  • The applicant needs to be at least 15 years of age.
  • Those hired must complete Lifeguard and WSI (Water Safety Instructor) Training.
  • This is an hourly position as a lifeguard fill-in/sub, 5-10 hours per week.
  • Job hours could be throughout the day, Monday to Sunday, May to September, based on need.
  • Hours could increase during the summer based on performance and availability.
  • Applications are available at Osage City Hall, or can be sent out by request.
  • Application deadline is April 4.
