Lyndon Pride plans year of community fun

Lyndon Pride met Feb. 27 to discuss plans for 2014.

“Don’t worry, all your favorites will be coming back this year!” announced Lyndon Pride chairman George Stutzman after the meeting.

He said Pride’s first event on the 2014 calendar is the second annual Daddy Daughter dance to be held Sunday, April 27, following Lyndon High School’s Prom. Details will be available at city hall, posted on the city website, as well as flyers will be sent home with students. All profits from this afternoon of fun will go to fund scholarships sponsored by Lyndon CBW.

The fun continues with the summer movie series. Selected dates are as follows: May 16, June 6 and June 27. Please suggest family films that you would like to see on the city website or Facebook page.

Fourth of July would not be the same without a full day of family fun in Lyndon.

“With fun for the whole family,” Stutzman said, “plan now to spend the whole day in our fair city.”

Also on the calendar is Fall Festival, scheduled for Oct 4. Fall Festival will return with crafts, games, food, music and fun for everyone in this full day event.

Winterfest will round out the Lyndon’s year of events. More crafts, 5k run and a fun walk, Christmas parade, reindeer raffle and pictures with Santa are all part of this kick off of your holiday season in your hometown.

Individuals or groups wanting to participate are encouraged to volunteer for events of their choice. Contact Stutzman at [email protected] or [email protected] for more information.
