Greenhouse destination for first spring rider appreciation trip

By Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

A rider appreciation trip is planned for March 27 to the COF Training Services workshop in Burlington, the Dairy Queen for lunch, and Arnold’s Greenhouse, in LeRoy, for their spectacular spring displays. A $5 donation is requested per person to cover transit and entry fees. Everyone is on their own for lunch. Call 785-528-4906 or stop by the Osage County Senior Center, 604 Market St., Osage City, to reserve your seat on the bus.

Wayne White, of Osage County News, plans to offer monthly computer workshops (9:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month) to help folks with computers, cell phones and other electronic devices. White is a self-taught computer tech and has worked with most common software, operating systems and computer devices. If there is interest, he will consider holding workshops on topics such as using the Internet and email, or using cell phones.

Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead an hour this Saturday night or Sunday morning for the switchover to daylight saving time. We would hate to see you miss the public transit bus or not be at the center on time for your favorite activities.
