Spring ahead: Change your clocks, change your batteries

Daylight saving time 2014 begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 9, when most U.S. states will spring forward an hour. Time will fall back to standard time again Sunday, Nov. 2, when DST ends. Safety officials also recommend this as a good time to change batteries in smoke detectors.
