Osage City anticipates a new general store

Demolition began last week to clear a house and office building from land that is the location for a planned Casey’s General Store, on Ninth Street in Osage City. The single-family residence demolished Thursday was constructed in 1887, according to county land records. The Casey’s store on an adjacent lot was built in 1986. The property is owned by Casey’s Retail Stores, Ankeny, Iowa. Photo thanks to Rick Potter.
